BLAK NITE
Blak Nite is the biennial showcase of SA's best emerging and established young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and performers.
A leading example of a sustainable event that is youth led and driven, Blak Nite is the longest running Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth arts showcase in Australia. Established in 1993, Blak Nite is proudly known across SA as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned event.

Blak Nite is a creative meeting ground, exploring the dreams and aspirations of young Nungas through artistic expression.
As the celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth arts and culture, it offers a broad mixture of artistic and cultural performances, presentations, workshops, and activities for children, young people and their supporters.
Along with the presentation and performance of deadly dance and music by young people from across the state, Blak Nite offers a chance to for young fullas to tell their own stories using digital storytelling.
Presented by Kurruru Youth Performing Arts, the next Blak Nite event will be held in early 2013.
Blak Nite 2013 – a place where communities will come together to showcase their performances and presentations in an event which will include contemporary and traditional Dance, Music, Visual Arts and Digital Stories - all presented by young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Presentations and workshops in traditional practices including dancing, music, weaving, punu (traditional wood carving and decorating), and traditional cooking will all be a part of the 2013 event....
